Who we are

Thirty Eight Degrees Limited (company number 14283058), trading as TED Digital, of Unit D, Common Bank Industrial Estate, Ackhurst Road, Chorley, Lancashire, PR7 1NH, is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through this website (teddigital.co.uk).

Contact us: sales@teddigital.co.uk or 01257 650695.

What we collect

  • Enquiry form – your name, email, phone (optional), postcode or town, what you’re looking for, and your message.
  • Stockist finder – the postcode or place name you search, used only to show nearby stockists.
  • Shop and checkout – name, delivery and billing address, email, phone and order details, needed to process and fulfil your order. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach us.
  • Technical data – standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the site running.

We do not collect any special category data, and this site is not aimed at children.

How we use it, and our legal basis

  • To respond to your enquiry (legitimate interest – you asked us to).
  • To process and fulfil an order, including statutory returns and warranty obligations (performance of a contract).
  • To help you find your nearest stockist (legitimate interest).
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
  • To keep the website secure and working properly (legitimate interest).

We don’t send marketing email unless you separately opt in, and we never sell your data.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run parts of this site on our behalf, each processing only what they need to do their job:

  • SureCart – our shop and checkout platform.
  • Stripe – payment processing; we never see or store your card details.
  • Our hosting provider – hosts the website.
  • Our email delivery provider – sends order and enquiry confirmations.
  • Google reCAPTCHA – protects checkout from automated abuse.
  • postcodes.io / OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) – looks up a postcode or place you search, via our own server, so your search is never sent to them directly.

None of these providers may use your data for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiry messages – up to 12 months, then deleted, unless you become a customer.
  • Order and invoice records – 6 years, as required by UK tax law.
  • Stockist searches – not stored against you individually.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

  • tell you what data we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • correct anything inaccurate
  • delete your data, where we’re not legally required to keep it
  • restrict or object to certain processing
  • give you your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these, email sales@teddigital.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
